TEFA/ESA at Holy Name
A new path to fund private education for Texas families begins for the 2026-2027 school year!
The Texas Education Freedom Account(TEFA), sometimes called an Education Savings Account(ESA), allows parents to use a portion of state education funds to pay for private school tuition and other approved education expenses.
Families may receive up $10,000 per student, and eligible students with special needs could receive up to $30,000 for specialized instruction or services.
Funds can be used for:

Uniforms, books, and technology

Tutoring, assestments, and therapies
Funds are placed in a state-managed account and distrubuted quarterly. Unused funds may roll over into the next school year.​ Aplication portal opens February 4, 2026(link coming soon).

12 ,11, and 10 month payment plans available if enrolled by certain dates.

We are currently offering a Superintendent Transfer Grant of $1,500 if you are coming from a public, charter, or home school.
